It’s almost time for me to get another SUV since my current one is running a bit high on the miles and is not too shinny inside. Since I drive around home buyers in Vienna and all of Northern Va often, it is better for business to have a vehicle that is clean and allows my clients to be as comfortable as possible. I get a kick out of talking to car salesmen because it helps sharpen my negotiating skills on something other than real estate.

With this in mind, I am not sure if I am going to trade in or sell my current Tahoe myself. I think I may sell it outright since there is a good market for used SUV’s, I will get more then if I trade it in. It sure could use a good cleaning and wax, but I think I will just sell it as is, Goldfish in the seats and all.

This would be one of the dumbest things I have done since my days in the Phi Sigma Kappa house back in collage…..I will save those stories for another day.

I want to get the best price I possibly can for my Tahoe, so I will have it washed, waxed, shampooed, and cleaned inside and out. This will get rid of all those Goldfish my daughters have dropped on the floor and in the cracks of the seats.

Just about everyone has their car cleaned and some even have it serviced to include a fresh oil change before they sell or trade it in for a new vehicle. Please explain to me why so many people put their home on the market in Northern Va and do not have it cleaned and staged. A well staged home that is priced right will sell and sell fast. A home is the largest single asset for most and when preparing to put it on the market a little money should be invested to get the best price. This is a principle that works in any market and should always be followed.
