I am biased when it come to Manassas City since this was the place of my birth and where I grew up and lived parts of my adult life. I have lived in Prince William County and is why I am an expert when it comes to the area and much of Northern Virginia.
Manassas made its place on the map during the Civil War due to the two Battles of Bull Run with the first being the first major land battle of the Civil War. The Manassas Train station pictured above was a key cross roads for the trains that ran to Washington DC and south to Richmond. The battles took place a few miles away at Bull Run Creek and are now a national park with trails, museums, and plenty of history. The old stone house pictured to the left is located on the park and has the best winter sledding hill in Northern Virginia. The building was used as a hospital during the battle and also lent its name to our real estate brokerage firm StoneHouse Realty Inc.
